Not sure what size your glasses are? If you already have a frame that fits well, you can measure your frame dimensions with a millimeter ruler or cloth measuring tape.
What are the dimensions?
- Frame width: the width of the frame between both temple arms.
- Lens width: the horizontal diameter of one lens. Doctors may refer to this as “eye size.”
- Lens height: the vertical height of the lens at the tallest point.
- Bridge width: the portion of the frame between the lenses that goes across the bridge of your nose.
- Temple arm length: the length of the arm that rests on the ears from the screw on the hinge to the end.
What do the numbers on my frame mean?
Some manufacturers print a series of three numbers inside the temple arms. These numbers indicate the lens width, bridge size, and temple arm length in millimeters.
Knowing these numbers can help you choose a frame similar in size when shopping for new frames.
What if I don't have a frame to measure?
If you don't have a pair of glasses at home to measure, we have printable frame cutouts available. Cut out the frames and hold them up to your face to determine your best size range.
How do I use these sizes to find frames?
Once you have the measurements for your frame dimensions, shop to your heart’s desire and find the perfect pair of glasses! You can click the View More option in the Fit &Comfort section of the frame filter to customize your search based on the measurements listed above.
